It is Monday morning, a morning of back to work and school, yet the first morning after a good number of days off. So, at 5:10 when the alarm went off, I shut it off, did my stretches and got up. Not hitting the snooze button many times as the days go by will be hard to do. I assembled stuffed peppers and have them cooking in the crockpot. I cooked other defrosted hamburger to assemble shepherd's pie later. I watered plants and trees. The cat is enjoying being upstairs from the basement with me. I carried her up while the dog is still asleep in bed so she could see the Christmas tree. She loves having a tree in the house. It is my hope for her that she will now enjoy it nightly while Sophie sleeps in my bed.
I want to quickly swiffer jet the kitchen floor. I should then get my shower and get ready for work. Oops, need to feed one more animal - the rabbit.
I pray this Christmas season brings my children and me some time of ease, warmth, and simply enjoying one another without tremendous burden and hardship.
