cozy house

Well, as I knew what about myself gets me into trouble ... quick, emotional decisions. Good things I cannot act on any decisions to make such a decision about a house. I went to see the cute and cozy house in Concord and a strange house in Carlisle, both which are in my price range. We went to see the strange house for educational purposes - to see what price can get me what in Carlisle. In this day, I can rent a decent house in Carlisle, but not own one. And, my rental has its issues that one would not let go if it were one's owned home.

First of all, I am still learning about my finances, gaining an awareness and simply learning the realities of the word. At my age, I am less than knowledgeable because I lived with my family's perspective for a long time, then under a husband's perspective. I would have money for a down payment on a house only if and when my brother gets his finances in order and buys me out of my share of my mother's house - the house in which he is living, rent-free.

What I like about the cute and cozy house: it is in a good and a darling neighborhood. The neighborhood has sidewalks and houses that decorate with Christmas lights. It is near the center of town - my daughters could walk to school, to pizza, to friends, to work a little job. We would be far less isolated. The house appears to be in good shape, no water damage, structural damage, insect damage. The walls are in good shape, painted that I could easily paint over. The hardwood floors are in good shape. The yard is small, quaint and manageable with lovely plantings.

What I have difficult with is the smaller size of the rooms (again from where we came to here), I would need to purchase a washer and dryer and refrigerator. The girls would have to share a room, a smaller room. Kayla is going to be a senior in high school, though next year. It is a cute house that could be my house in my years.

So, I do not have to act today. Time will reveal how and when to act.
